He has been the President of Cherokee Homes for the past 12 years and a member of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association since 1997. He served as Vice President of the Prince William Chapter of the NVBIA in 2003 and President of the Chapter in 2004. His activities with the NVBIA include serving on the Association's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He is also a Life Council Member of the Prince William Chapter and serves as its current representative. In 2004, Shawn received the Prince William Chapter Builder of the Year Award. He has served on the Marketing Committee for the Custom Builders Council for the past five years and is the 2006 Secretary for the NVBIA.
